Geotech by Floor Gres
Geotech is a series of through body porcelain tiles with ink-jet technology. The inspiration for the series comes from Madeira, an island off the coast of Africa. Formed by volcanic activity, one of the island's notable features is a special stone that has the appearance of fossilized wood. The series combines the markings that are typically found in natural stone, with unique color combinations. Geotech meets the requirements set by the LEED building rating system and may be used to earn the following LEED Credits: MR 4.1 and 4.2, EQ 4, SS 7 and EA 1.
Colors + Finishes
The Geotech series includes three colors (Geowhite, Geogray and Geored). Each color is offered in a matte and textured finish. Select colors are also offered in a grooved finish, called canneté.
Available nominal (and actual) sizes include: 6"x48" (5.9"x47.24"), 8"x48" (7.87"x47.24"), 12"x24" (11.81"x23.62"), 16"x32" (15.75"x31.5"), 24"x24" (23.62"x23.62"), 24"x48" (23.62"x47.24") and 32"x32" (31.5"x31.5"). Mosaic, listello patterns, trim pieces and stair treads are also available.
Tiles are suitable for interior and exterior walls and floors, as well as interior residential and heavy-traffic commercial floors.
Installation + Maintenance
Tiles can be installed using standard installation methods for thinset adhesives. A grout joint of 1/8" or greater is recommended. Use high quality adhesive from manufacturers such as Laticrete and Mapei, following manufacturers’ recommendations, depending on conditions. Clean with a neutral detergent.
