2017 IIDA/HD Product Design Competition

The International Interior Design Association (IIDA), in partnership with Hospitality Design magazine, announced the winners of the 21st Annual IIDA/HD Product Design Competition today at HD Expo. Zintra Acoustic Solutions by MDC took home the Best of Competition award and also won in the applied finishes and materials (wallcoverings and treatments) category.

The 2017 judging panel included Chris Evans, senior associate with Rottet Studio; Mayfield and Ragni Studio principal Kelie Mayfield; and Antunovich Associates senior principal and director of interior design Patricia Rotondo.

Judges selected winners based on innovation, technical advancements, cost efficiency, environmental consciousness, aesthetics, client-user benefits, and need and usage in the hospitality industry. Awards for each category are not mandatory.
