Warehouse Receiving Associate – Carlstadt, NJ
Job Summary
The warehouse receiving associate receives, stores, and distributes material and products from suppliers or production shops within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions and ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so that supplies are located and distributed properly in an effective and efficient manner to satisfy internal and external customer requirements. This position reports to the National Operations Director.

- Receive all material, orders, etc.
- Checking in materials/orders; matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to associates for processing.
- Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Distribute items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas.
- File requisitions, work orders or receipts of material/requests for material.
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
- Verify shipments against purchase orders and examine upon arrival.
- Monitors unloading of all materials into the receiving department; ensures materials are staged for counting and inspection; ensures receiving reports accurately report the material received.
- Resolves discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips and receiver reports.
- Monitors the flow of paperwork from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry.
- Oversees the movement of material from receiving to the warehouse in an efficient, effective, and safe manner.
- Maintain record keeping systems and mark material with part numbers, date and lot codes, revisions, etc.
- Develop and implement receiving procedures.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing may be required. This would require the ability to lift files, pen filing cabinets and bending or standing (on a stool) as necessary. This position may also require the ability to occasionally lift office products or supplies, up to 15/20 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required.
One (1) to two (2) years of prior warehouse experience preferred.
