Piano
Piano is a series of partially-glazed porcelain tile designed by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec for Mutina. The collection uses variation in width (3” to 4”) and the use of a glaze to create different textural effects and a look similar to the image of certain reflections in water. The collection has five base colors and is made with colored clays to which layers of glaze are added in different widths.
“The tiles can be fitted together at will, to create endless layout possibilities. Their random disposition is mysterious and creates the impression of a total continuation of space. This systemic rhythm always creates the space for originality.”
