Brac
Mutina challenges the fundamental tenets of architecture and design with world renowned artist, Nathalie Du Pasquier. Brac reinterprets the building brick by incorporating negative space, and adding emotional unpredictability by playing with light, color and sound. Brac has a range of five colors and two finishes: a natural matte surface with Argilla, Bianco, Salvia, Marrone, and the brightly glazed Nero. This sculptural material is a versatile component that can be used horizontally or vertically to create a space that transcends the norm and occupies the realm of the truly artistic. Break free from tradition, and design for the future with Brac.

ABRASION RESISTANCE
Medium
This material has medium abrasion resistance. It rates as a 3.5-6.5 on the Mohs scale. It is more resistant to scratching than materials with a low abrasion resistance rating (i.e. certain marbles and limestones, onyx, schist and slate). It is not as resistant to scratching as materials with a high abrasion resistance rating.
ABSORPTION
Moderate
This material has a low to moderate absorption rate. Always seal this material prior to use. To reduce the appearance of stains, always wipe up spills immediately. Oil and highly-pigmented liquids can penetrate and stain the stone and may need poultice to remove the stain.
ACID SENSITIVITY
Minimal
This material is minimally sensitive to acids. It will not acid etch or lose its surface sheen when exposed to acidic liquids such as lemons or tomatoes.
FREEZE-THAW
Not Recommended
Due to known material weakness or because this material has not been tested, this material is not approved for use in exterior applications.
