Most marble has naturally occurring cracks and fissures. Expect to see factory repairs. The quality of the repair is dependent upon the factory of origin, the fabricator of the stone and the installer.
ABRASION RESISTANCE
Medium
This material has medium abrasion resistance. It rates as a 3.5-6.5 on the Mohs scale. It is more resistant to scratching than materials with a low abrasion resistance rating (i.e. certain marbles and limestones, onyx, schist and slate). It is not as resistant to scratching as materials with a high abrasion resistance rating.
ABSORPTION
Moderate
This material has a low to moderate absorption rate. Always seal this material prior to use. To reduce the appearance of stains, always wipe up spills immediately. Oil and highly-pigmented liquids can penetrate and stain the stone and may need poultice to remove the stain.
ACID SENSITIVITY
High
This material is highly sensitive to acids. Acid etching will be highly visible on this material when exposed to acidic foods such as lemons or tomatoes. Do not use this material on kitchen countertop applications where acid etching is a concern. If acid etching is a concern, select a minimally sensitive material.
FREEZE-THAW
Not Recommended
Due to known material weakness or because this material has not been tested, this material is not approved for use in exterior applications.

The Stone Triangle Collection offers a contemporary twist on a traditional surfacing material. The generously sized pieces in the new collection are precisely cut in Italy into 16’’ equilateral triangles. The polished marble triangles can be used in endless combinations of colors and patterns to give contemporary interiors a timeless look or lend an elegant, yet modern, approach to traditional or historic settings. The Stone Triangle collection comes in five rich colors: Carrara, Nero Marquinia, Rosso Verona, Verde Guatemala, and Danube. Stone Triangles can be combined to create solid or multi-colored geometric shapes such as rhombi, diamonds, trapezoids, hexagons, or even larger triangles.
